From our very first strategy session, it was clear that Lindsey wasn’t looking to create just another sports nutrition practice.
She had a deeply personal mission: to provide weight and health-inclusive nutrition services specifically for mountain athletes of all skill levels.
This wasn’t about quick fixes or aesthetic goals—it was about empowering individuals to fuel their bodies for the adventures they love while maintaining a healthy relationship with food and their bodies.
The challenge we faced was substantial: how do you create a brand that speaks to serious athletes and enthusiasts while maintaining an inclusive, welcoming approach? How do you communicate expertise in sports nutrition while emphasizing holistic well-being? And crucially, how do you build a foundation that can grow with an ambitious entrepreneur who has big plans for the future?
Our brand strategy process revealed that Alpine Fuel Nutrition embodies a unique blend of two powerful archetypes: the Explorer and the Hero.
This combination perfectly captures both the adventurous spirit of the mountain athletes Lindsey serves and her role as a guide helping them overcome challenges and reach their full potential.

We identified six core values that would guide every decision:
Adventure – Because it allows individuals to discover who they truly are and explore their full potential
Courage – Empowering athletes to make mountain sports part of their lives and take responsibility for their health
Respect for Self – The foundation for personal growth, confidence, and resilience
Sustainability – Deeply valuing the well-being of our planet and future generations
Well-being – The key to unlocking one’s true potential and living a vibrant, fulfilling life
Balance – Achieving harmony between sports, personal pursuits, and relationships
Alpine Fuel Nutrition’s mission became crystal clear through our process: “To empower individuals through functional sports nutrition. With a focus on holistic well-being, we provide evidence-based recommendations, fostering a close partnership with each athlete. Our personalized, environmentally conscious approach aims to optimize performance, promote overall health, and support individuals in their pursuit of excellence and connection with themselves and the natural world.”
Creating the visual identity for Alpine Fuel Nutrition required balancing several seemingly contradictory elements: it needed to feel both athletic and nurturing, professional yet approachable, mountain-inspired but not intimidating. Our solution drew directly from the natural beauty of Colorado’s landscape while maintaining a warmth that reflects Lindsey’s inclusive approach.

We developed a five-color palette that tells a complete story:
Midnight Blue (#163D6E) – The deep, adventurous spirit that evokes mountain peaks and determination
Glacier Blue (#6AACCF) – Representing the connection between athletes, nature, and sustainability
Sunshine Yellow (#FED500) – The positivity, enthusiasm, and joy that fuels every interaction
Misty Gray (#D6D4D5) – Balance and harmony, reflecting the personalized approach
Mocha Brown (#3A3024) – The grounded, genuine nature that emphasizes holistic well-being

We selected clean, athletic sans-serif fonts—Josefin Sans for headings and Jost for body text—that communicate both professionalism and approachability. These fonts feel modern and energetic without sacrificing readability or accessibility.
The Alpine Fuel Nutrition logo features stylized mountain peaks with a rising sun, complemented by a winding path that represents each athlete’s unique journey. This isn’t just a pretty picture—every element was chosen to reflect the brand’s core values of adventure, growth, and personal journey.

We needed to create communication guidelines that would allow Lindsey to speak with authority about sports nutrition while maintaining the warmth and inclusivity that sets her apart from more traditional sports nutrition practices.
